FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. (AP) - University of Arkansas pitcher Trey Killian went three innings in his start for USA Baseball's Collegiate National Team as he competes for a spot on the team.
Killian allowed one run on two hits while striking out seven in three innings during Wednesday's game against the Wilson Tobs in Wilson, North Carolina. Team USA won the game 14-2 and improved to 5-0 in exhibition games.
Killian is one of 33 players competing for one of 24 spots on the team's roster. The team is currently playing a Red, White and Blue Tour in which it plays seven games in seven days.
Killian is a sophomore from Mountain Home who just completed his sophomore year at Arkansas.
