Posted: Updated:

FORT SMITH, Ark. (AP) - The final cases from a multistate drug investigation wrapped up this week when the final three defendants were sentenced to prison terms for conspiracy to distribute methamphetamine.

The Southwest Times Record newspaper reported Friday (http://bit.ly/1iPPnqG ) that Phillip Knox was sentenced to 120 months in prison, Leslie Kaelin was sentenced to 46 months and Jamie Ramos was sentenced to 41 months. Knox and Kaelin are from Fort Smith; Ramos is from Alma.

Indictments unsealed last year accused 23 defendants of taking part in the Gamboa Drug Trafficking Organization. Investigators seized 22 pounds of a highly pure form of meth, along with 10 handguns, four cars, two motorcyles and $5,000 in cash.

Gerardo Gamboa of Fort Smith was sentenced in May to 20 years in prison for distributing methamphetamine.
