ZINC, Ark. (AP) - Authorities in Boone County are investigating a suspected case of arson at a volunteer fire department.
The Boone County Sheriff's Office says the fire was reported Sunday morning at the Zinc Volunteer Fire Department. Authorities say the two buildings serving as fire stations had both roofs blazing when emergency responders arrived.
Firefighters put out the blaze and were able to save most of their equipment, but both roofs are considered a complete loss.
No one was hurt in the fire.
The sheriff's office says an investigation showed that the fire was intentionally set. No one has been arrested yet.
