JONESBORO, Ark. (AP) - The Harrisburg High School volleyball coach has died after crashing her car into a water-filled ditch near Jonesboro.

The Craighead County Sheriff's Department says 38-year-old Jennifer Jordan was found dead in her submerged car early Saturday. Jordan had been reported missing about 11 p.m. Friday after she failed to respond to phone calls and text messages.

Jonesboro police say family and friends contacted officers about 12:30 a.m. Saturday after they found skid marks and a submerged vehicle in a ditch beside a county road.

The Craighead County dive team was called to recover the car and Jordan's body was found inside.

The school's website lists Jordan as both volleyball coach and as a history teacher.
