MARMADUKE, Ark. (AP) - Greene County authorities say a 17-year-old boy has drowned while swimming in a small pond near Marmaduke.

Sheriff Dan Langston told KAIT (http://bit.ly/1kpWoxy ) that Trevor Potter was swimming with a friend in the pond Thursday night when he complained of chest pains. Langston says the friend tried to keep Potter afloat, but was unable to do so.

Langston says Potter was underwater for about 30 minutes before his body was recovered.
