Routine inspection leads to drug bust on I-40

ALMA (KATV) - Arkansas Highway Police confiscated 217 pounds of marijuana during a routine inspection on Interstate 40.

The search was conducted early Friday morning at the eastbound AHP Inspection Station in Alma. Police searched the tractor-trailer driven by 46-year-old Xiao Jun (Calvin) Duan of Arcadia, California. Officers discovered 217 pounds of marijuana stored in seven boxes inside the sleeper cab of the truck.

Duan was arrested and is currently being held in the Crawford County Jail.
