Man shot in Garland Co. after suspects ask to use phone

Posted: Updated:
GARLAND COUNTY (KATV) -
Garland County deputies are looking for suspects they believe shot a man late Saturday night.

Two men knocked on the victim's door in the 200 block of Rocky Reef Rd. just before midnight Saturday and asked to use a phone because their car had broken down, according to Lt. James Martin with the Garland County Sheriff's Office.

Martin said the victim went outside to help and the two men attempted to force their way inside and shot the victim.

The victim was taken to the hospital in life threatening condition. His condition Sunday is unknown.

Martin said the incident does not appear to be random.
