The deputies were traveling to the Law Enforcement Training Academy in Camden. Their car had stopped at about 7:30 p.m. to provide assistance at the scene of an accident they encountered near Searcy in White County when the collision occurred.

Baxter County Sheriff John Montgomery says Cpl. Selena Johnson, who works at the county jail, was transported by ambulance to a hospital in White County.
