Car found, investigation continues into death of LRSD employee

LITTLE ROCK (KATV) -- Little Rock police continue investigating why someone killed a Little Rock School District employee, who was found dead inside her home on Tuesday.

Debbie Bush, 56, was a nearly 30-year veteran of LRSD, working with the child nutrition department at Wilson Elementary school.

After being discovered dead inside her home by a concerned friend and co-worker, LRPD continued the investigation Wednesday by going right back to her neighborhood on Tatum Street.

New evidence was discovered late Tuesday night when Bush's missing vehicle, a 2002 beige Cadillac DeVille, was located on Moore Drive in southwest Little Rock, about six miles from her home.

"We're hoping that people around that area may have seen someone driving that vehicle," said Lt. Sidney Allen with LRPD. "Maybe give us a description of the suspects that got out of that vehicle because those would be some of the more key points that we could work and investigate on."

Although her vehicle was taken, the later discovery of it still has police wondering if robbery was the motive.

"I think they're doing an inventory search to determine through family members what items may be missing, but right now we don't know what's missing," Allen added.

Allen said the cause or time of death have yet to be determined, but detectives have taken on a personal feel to try and solve the crime.

"They're looking at this as if this was a family member of them, how would they feel if they did not find the perpetrator. They're looking at every little thing that could've happened to see if they can't get a lead."

If you know anything about this case or the car that was found you're urged to call Little Rock Crime Stoppers at (501) 371-4636.
