Natural State Jackpot climbs to $350k, highest prize ever
(KATV) The Natural State Jackpot is only available in Arkansas and it grows once again. April 1, it is the largest prize ever at $350,000. No one has won the jackpot in the past 56 drawings.
Each night in which there is no big winner, an additional $5,000 is added to the jackpot. If there is more than one jackpot winner, the prize will be equally divided among all the jackpot prize winners.
Arkansas Scholarship Lottery said the jackpot started at just $25,000 in January and has been rolling over ever since then. It may be no Powerball or MegaMillions, but the Lottery said winning the NSJ would be like withdrawing $1,000 every week for the next six years – after taxes.
Odds of winning the Natural State Jackpot are a lot better than the "major" lotteries – just one in 575,757.
Although no one has won the jackpot- 98,345 tickets were sold for the drawing Monday and 10,644 players won a prize. Last week over 51,450 players won a prize in an NSJ drawing. They range from $1 to $300.
If you match two numbers you win $1, three numbers wins $7, and matching four will win you a cool $300.
NSJ is similar to Powerball®, Mega Millions®, and Decades of Dollars. Players choose 5 numbers between 1 and 39 and can play for up to 20 consecutive draws. Each play costs $1.
