Little Rock Police catch bank, jewelry store robbery suspects

(KATV)-Little Rock Police have caught all suspects involved in five bank robberies this year, except for one that happened at Simmons Bank Wednesday.

There were four bank robberies this week alone. There was also an armed robbery at Cecil's Fine Jewelry Thursday. The suspects were caught within an hour. Police took into custody Demetrius Curtis, 18, and two other teenage suspects, unnamed by police, who are 17 and 16 years old.

The suspect from February's robbery at Bank of the Ozarks was also taken into custody this week, according to police. Michael McCormack, 31, was charged with aggravated robbery and theft of property for the Bank of the Ozarks robbery after he allegedly robbed a Mapco gas station earlier this month, which ended in nearby woods in an officer involved shooting.

Police apprehended the suspect from Monday's Iberia Bank robbery on Wednesday. Devonta Piggee, 19, of White Hall was charged with aggravated robbery and theft of property. The money has not been returned, according to police.

Suspects from Tuesday's robbery at U.S. Bank were taken into custody. Derrick Galvin, 20 and Myron Thompson, 22, were charged with aggravated robbery and theft of property. The money was returned.

Another suspect from a robbery Tuesday at First Security Bank on 10 Bass Pro Drive, Jahmal Wallace, 37, was taken into custody and charged. The money in that robbery has not been returned, acccording to police.
