Little Rock woman shoots at cousin over 30 dollars

LITTLE ROCK (KATV) – Monday night shortly after 7:30, officers responded to a standby at 11 Lakeside Drive.

When police arrived on the scene, they found Adrienne Abraham who claimed her first cousin, Elisa Brown, had just shot at her.

Abraham told LRPD the incident started that morning when she called Brown and notified her that she was headed to her residence to collect $30 that Brown owed her. Her cousin did not answer her phone, but Abraham still went to her home. Abraham and Brown then had a verbal altercation which ended when Abraham left. Brown then called her cousin's phone several times but received no answer.

Around 7:15 p.m., Abraham finally answered the phone, and Brown allegedly stated that she would give the money to her if she returned. Shortly after Abraham's arrival, she claimed to have noticed Brown standing in her door way with a silver hand-gun. Abraham did not stop and kept driving as Brown shot about four rounds towards Abraham's vehicle.

The bullets did not hit her car, but damaged a neighbor's vehicle.

When officers tried to reach Brown, her kids opened the door and said she was taking a shower. Brown was uncooperative and refused to comply with multiple commands given by officers to get out of the shower.

When she got out of the shower, she was challenging officers at the location. She refused to answer any questions or provide any information.

Brown was taken into custody and transported to the downtown detective office for further investigation.

Based on the statements provided by the victims and the physical evidence found at the scene, Brown was arrested and charged with aggravated assault on a family or household member, obstructing governmental operations, attempt to influence a public servant, and terroristic act.
