Oaklawn cancels Saturday for third straight day

Posted: Updated:
HOT SPRINGS (KATV) -

Oaklawn has canceled its Saturday card because of sub-freezing temperatures and several inches of snow that fell overnight.

The cancellation marks the third straight day the track has been forced to cancel because of winter weather. It also lost part of last Sunday's card.

Oaklawn will remain open Saturday for simulcast wagering and gaming.

Live racing at Oaklawn is scheduled to resume Sunday with a 1:30 p.m. first post. The $100,000 King Cotton Stakes scheduled for Saturday will be rescheduled for next Saturday, Feb. 15.
