TUSCALOOSA COUNTY - AL -

Tuscaloosa police have charged 23-year-old Marcus Mccorkle with one count of rape and one count of sodomy.

Police were called to Juanita Drive on January 25, 2014 on a disturbance call. When officers arrived, they learned the complainant had detained a suspect in his house after he found him in the room with a 13-year-old who lived at the house.

Investigators say the victim had left the house and could not be questioned. The suspect was released at that time, but investigators obtained warrants on him and he was taken into custody on Monday, February 3, 2014 after a foot pursuit that ended in a field near Eddins Road.

Mccorkle is being held in the Tuscaloosa County jail on a $45,000 bond.
