Dad of suspected killer begs his son to come forward

Posted: Updated:

The pleas of a parent can be a powerful tool. That's what George Hayes is hoping.

He met with members of the media Tuesday at the Little Rock Police Department, to plead for his son to turn himself in on murder charges.

Hayes says he doesn't want to see his son lose his life too.

"Turn yourself in. That's all. That's all I ask. Turn yourself in," said Hayes.

Steven Hayes, 27, is wanted by police accused of shooting and killing Shoncoven Smith, 22. He also allegedly shot a 16-year old who is recovering

Call police if you know where Hayes is.
