Suspect injured in Sherwood officer-involved shooting

SHERWOOD (KATV) – Sherwood police responded to an alcohol-related domestic disturbance call Wednesday morning.

Around 7 a.m. police arrived at Tenkiller Drive where the suspect was armed with a weapon in both hands. Officers said after asking the suspect to put down his weapons several times, he refused.

The suspect allegedly pointed them at police, and officers shot the suspect.

The suspect was taken to a local hospital where he was responsive.
