SAN ANTONIO, Texas (KATV) - A Harding grad student was found stabbed to death in a park on New Year's Eve.

Lauren Michelle Bump, 24, was set to graduate from their physician assistant program in May, according to a university spokesperson.

San Antonio police said a passerby found Bump lying in a pool of blood on a paved trail inside a local park Tuesday. Police later found her car nearby.

Bump went to high school in San Antonio and her family lives just a few miles from the park.

Harding University said the family has set up a reward fund for anyone with information leading to the killer's arrest.

Plans to remember Bump at Harding are pending.
