LITTLE ROCK (AP) - Ty Storey threw for 378 yards and six touchdowns Saturday as Charleston made quick work of Glen Rose during a 42-19 victory in the Arkansas Class 3A high school football championship game.
Storey, a junior, was 18-of-31 passing - throwing three touchdowns to Taylor King as the Tigers (15-0) won their second state title in three years. King's seven catches led Charleston, while Austin Pittman finished with six catches for a game-high 128 yards and two touchdowns.
The Tigers pushed their lead to 35-0 midway through the second quarter when Story connected with Colton Ward for a 70-yard touchdown pass.
Carlos Burton led the Beavers (12-2) with 189 yards rushing and a pair of touchdowns on 18 carries, while quarterback Clay Holicer was 12-of-27 passing for 197 yards.
