Boy spy David O. Dodd to be focus of museum talk

Posted: Updated:

LITTLE ROCK, Ark. (AP) - A panel discussion about a 17-year-old Confederate spy who was executed is scheduled at the MacArthur Military Museum in Little Rock.

The talk is set for 1 p.m. Jan. 11 and will focus on David O. Dodd's life, death and the myths that have grown from his story.

Dodd is one of the best known Civil War figures linked to Arkansas' role in the war. Debate continues whether he was a martyred Confederate hero or a traitor to the United States.

Guest presenters for the panel discussion are Carl Moneyhon, Anthony Rushing, and Stephan McAteer.
