Posted: Updated:

JONESBORO, Ark. (AP) - The Arkansas State University Board of Trustees has approved in-state tuition rates to all U.S. Army Reserve Officers' Training Corps cadets.

The board in 2011 had authorized the lower in-state rates to all person serving in the military, but the policy did not specifically address ROTC students, who sign an enlistment contract.

In other business the trustees elected board member Dan Pierce of Jonesboro as chairman to succeed Mike Gibson of Osceola. The trustees also elected Charles Luter of Paragould as vice chairman and Howard Slinkard of Rogers as secretary.
