Tommy Bahama CEO gives $250,000 to UCA

CONWAY, Ark. (AP) - The chief executive officer of the Tommy Bahama clothing company has donated $250,000 to the University of Central Arkansas.

Terry Pillow made the donation to support UCA's College of Business dean's position and create an endowment for future expenses. The fund is named in memory of Pillow's parents, Homer and Regina Pillow.

Terry Pillow is a native of Corning and graduated from UCA with a degree in marketing in 1976. He began his career at Neiman Marcus in Dallas and has worked his way up in the clothing industry.

He's been chief executive of Tommy Bahama Group, Inc., since 2008. He's previously served in executive roles at Ralph Lauren Footwear, The Rockport Company, Coach Apparel and A/X Armani Exchange.
