7 arrested in 5 different Berkeley County meth labs

BERKELEY COUNTY, S.C. (WCIV) -- Berkeley County deputies arrested seven people in five separate meth lab busts on Tuesday.

According to officials, 41-year-old Richard Anthony Shultz was arrested after deputies searched his Mudville Road home and found several ingredients needed for the "one pot" and "shake and bake" method of making meth.

Shultz was charged with possession with intent to distribute and manufacturing methamphetamine, deputies said.

Deputies also arrested 31-year-old Jennifer Atkinson at her Broughton Road home after finding meth-making materials. She was charged with manufacturing methamphetamine and exposing a child to meth, according to a sheriff's office release.

And in Bonneau, agents found a third lab on Long Acre Drive and arrested 42-year-old William Clifford Casselman. He was charged with manufacturing meth and simple possession of marijuana, deputies said.

On Frankie Lane, officers arrested 34-year-old Joshua Rockwood and 38-year-old Kari Curtis on charges of manufacturing meth.

In nearby Dorchester County, deputies there also made a four meth lab busts in two days. In Colleton County, officials said they have shut down six meth labs.
