Get into a car accident? There's an app for that

Posted: Updated:

LITTLE ROCK (KATV) - More than 100 car accidents have kept the Little Rock Police Department busy since Friday. Those accidents also kept insurance agents busy, as they saw an increase in claims.

Sixty of those accidents had estimated damages of more than $1,000. If you were one of those drivers who got caught in a wreck, there's an app for that.

"[The app] Gives our customers the ability of contacting their State Farm agent through email or phone, as well as turn in any claims," said State Farm Agent Pat Frizzell.

It's called the State Farm Pocket Agent, where you can take pictures of the accident and file your claim all at the touch of your smart phone.

"It even gives you the opportunity to actually draw a picture on your phone of what happened and all the vehicles that were involved," added Frizzell.
