Searcy police respond to early morning robbery

SEARCY (KATV) - Searcy Police Officers responded to a robbery around 2:30 a.m. at a Valero gas station located at Main Street and Booth Road.

When officers arrived they were told by the clerk that a white male wearing all black clothing entered the store demanding money.  The clerk did as the suspect asked, and after receiving money he exited the store.

Authorities were told the suspect ran towards an apartment complex behind the store.  Officers searched the area of the store and apartment complex. 

The suspect was described as having blue eyes, light colored hair, late 20s, approximately 5'10, and 180 pounds.

    Saline County celebrated the return of it's “Lost Seal” by installing a historical civil war marker. The county hasn't had the seal since 1863 but it is now back in the counties possession.In 1996 Gary smith of Pine Bluff found discovered the seal with his metal detector in Grant County.More >>
