Boil Order Lifted in Barnsdall after Water Main Break

Posted: Updated:

A voluntary boil order was lifted Wednesday in an Osage County community.

The boil order had been in effect since last Thursday after the main water line broke.

Issues with the water began last Wednesday morning in Barnsdall when Oklahoma Natural Gas crews severed a main line near 6th and Chestnut. The town is located north of Tulsa just southwest of Bartlesville.

Barnsdall City Council President Brock Moore told KTUL that the leak continued all day and night. And the water was completely shutoff the morning of the 14th.

Moore added that the water issue also is affecting surrounding communities. He said that areas of Skiatook and Bartlesville were also without water during the time of the main break.
