A Texas woman was taken into custody this week after she reportedly abducted her son and traveled to Oklahoma.

Rogers County authorities arrested Stephanie Cotton on a fugitive from justice complaint. She was booked into the jail early Wednesday morning.

According to reports from KVUE, KTUL's sister station in Austin, Texas, Cotton took her son from his grandparents' home earlier this week. His biological father has full custody of the child.

Cotton's father also told authorities that his son takes medication for a medical condition. At the time of the abduction he was worried because Stephanie didn't have the medication.

Deputies in Rogers County returned the child back to Texas. Officials in Texas are now working to extradite his mother back from Oklahoma.
