Montana man sentenced for child porn in Arkansas

Posted: Updated:

TEXARKANA, Ark. (AP) - A federal prosecutor says a Montana man has been sentenced to 15 years in prison after pleading guilty in Arkansas to transporting child pornography across state lines.

U.S. Attorney Conner Eldridge says 66-year-old John Malcolm Nealy of Florence, Mont., was sentenced last week by U.S. District Court Judge Harry Barnes in federal court in Texarkana. Nealy had pleaded guilty to the charge in April.

Authorities say Nealy was arrested at a state park in Nevada County in September 2012 after authorities discovered he had a stolen license plate on his vehicle and investigators learned he was wanted for a parole violation and that a search of his car turned up videos of child pornography.
