Lynchburg Man Killed in Danville Shooting, Police Searching for Suspect

Danville, VA – Investigators in Danville need your help in finding who allegedly shot and killed a Lynchburg man early Wednesday morning.

According to police, they responded to a report of shots fired at 2:52 a.m. in the 1000 block of Piney Forest Road where they found a man suffering from a gunshot.

Police say Antwan Lamontah George Rucker, 35, of Lynchburg was pronounced dead at the scene by fire and EMS crews.

Rucker's body will be taken to the Medical Examiner's Office in Roanoke for an autopsy.

Meanwhile, the investigation into the fatal shooting continues.
