1 tablespoon brown sugar

1 teaspoon chili powder

1 teaspoon salt

1 teaspoon black pepper

1 teaspoon granulated garlic

1/2 teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes

8 chicken thighs

1 tablespoon oil

1 onion, sliced

2 celery stalks, diced

1 cup carrots, baby or diced

1 cup sliced mushrooms

2 tablespoons flour

1 bottle of brown ale

1/2 cup chicken broth

 

 

1. Mix together brown sugar, chili powder, salt, pepper, garlic and red pepper flakes. Rub your mixture in to chicken thighs and let set for a few minutes.

2. Heat oil in skillet and brown chicken on each side. Set chicken aside and pour out all of oil except 1 tablespoon.

3. In same skillet, add the onions, celery, carrots and mushrooms, cook vegetables for a few minutes to high heat.

4. Add ale and chicken broth to vegetables. Bring to a simmer and return chicken to pan.

5 Cover and bake at 350 for 40 minutes.

 

If your skillet is not oven proof, transfer to a baking dish before baking.
