(KATV) Former Mount St. Mary Academy teacher and coach Kelly O'Rourke,42, has been sentenced to 10 years in prison for repeatedly contacting the victim. O'Rourke was reportedly contacting the female victim while serving a 4 month jail sentence.

The abuse reportedly began in 2010, when the victim was 16. According to Little Rock police it ended when she graduated the following year.

In January the former teacher was sentenced to 120 days in jail. It was part of a suspended 15-year prison sentence for pleading guilty to sexually assaulting the student. She also had to register as a sex offender, provide her DNA plus pay $5,000 in court costs.

O'Rourke also agreed to testify against another former Mount St. Mary teacher, Kathy Griffin, who was arrested because she allegedly did not report the relationship.

At the time, O'Rourke was ordered not to contact the victim.

Monday, Pulaski County Circuit Judge Barry Sims brought up that O'Rourke made dozens of calls to the girl. In one recorded call from jail, the former teacher told the girl that she wanted the relationship to continue.

Kelly O'Rourke read a statement in court apologizing for her actions and said she was sorry for disrespecting the court.

The victim is now an adult; therefore, the no contact order has been lifted.
