Woman's purse stolen from her car while dropping off children

Posted: Updated:

CONWAY (KATV) - Police are looking for the woman they say stole a purse and has since cashed thousands of dollars in checks.

Earlier this month, a mother was dropping off her kids at the Kidz University, according to police. She covered her purse in a blanket but left the car unlocked. When she returned four minutes later, the purse was gone.

Since then, checks have been cashed at banks in Conway, Benton, Bryant, Little Rock and Hot Springs.

Officers said the wanted woman may be driving a maroon Cadillac.
