FAYETTEVILLE (40/29 News) - The athletic director for the Fayetteville School District has been arrested on suspicion of internet stalking of a child.

Barry Gebhart, 50, was arrested Tuesday in Rogers at the Pinnacle Hills Mall where he'd gone to meet what he thought would be a 14-year-old girl, according to a Benton County Sheriff's Office spokesperson. The investigation began about a month ago when Gebhart posted inappropriate material on a social media site.

Gebhart has been athletic director since 2009.

A Benton County judge set his bond at $75,000.
