A 21-year-old man was arrested Monday for a robbery incident at a local store after turning himself over to authorities.

Tulsa Police formally placed Patrick Phillips under arrest earlier this week for reportedly robbing the Walgreens near 15th and Yale. He faces a robbery by force or fear complaint for the crime.

Tulsa Police said the robbery allegedly occurred October 20th. Surveillance video shows a man approach the Walgreens pharmacy counter. Police said the man held a note demanding prescription pills in one hand. Police said his other hand was in his pocket, possibly suggesting that he had a weapon. Police said Walgreens employees gave him multiple bottles of pills.

Police released the surveillance video to the public Monday. Phillips turned himself and multiple bottles of pills over to police late Monday night.

"We do see that and that's the whole purpose of putting this information out to the media is because we want our citizens to get involved. We need their help," Officer Jillian Roberson said.

Roberson said Crimestoppers received multiple tips that Phillips was the man in the video.

Roberson said police are continuing to investigate the pills Phillips gave police to see if they match the description and amount stolen from Walgreens.

Channel 8 spoke over the phone with a representative for the Tulsa County District Attorney's office. The representative said the office had not yet reviewed the Phillips case. However, she said that the D.A. always takes all parts of investigations into consideration when it comes to possible charges, or eventually, plea deals.

Walgreens does not comment on criminal investigations.

At the time the statement was release, Phillips was being held on $50,000 bond.
