Kali Hardig appears on Katie

Kali Hardig, the 12 year old Arkansas girl who was stricken with a rare brain eating amoeba appears on Katie at 3 p.m. Thursday on KATV, Channel 7.

Kali appears alongside her mom Traci who has also battled health problems. 

In a clip supplied to Katie's affiliates Katie asks Traci what it was like when she found out her daughter had a rare infection that was almost always fatal. 

Traci said, I told her to "fight like a girl", which cracked Katie up. 

Traci says Kali has gotten used to seeing her mother fight through health issues, and believes that gave her strength to overcome her own health problems.

    Saline County celebrated the return of it's “Lost Seal” by installing a historical civil war marker. The county hasn't had the seal since 1863 but it is now back in the counties possession.In 1996 Gary smith of Pine Bluff found discovered the seal with his metal detector in Grant County.More >>
