Detectives Looking for Suspect Selling Counterfeit Bedlam Tickets

Posted: Updated:

Local authorities are advising football fans this week to be aware of potential Bedlam scams.

Investigators with the Tulsa Police Department's Financial Crime's Unit stated that they have received multiple reports of a male suspect selling fake Bedlam tickets.

According to a post on their Facebook page, people have purchased the tickets only to later discover that the tickets are counterfeit.

Detectives told KTUL that a couple from Moore were scammed earlier this week. The victims met the suspect in Bristow to exchange the tickets and were presented with the same counterfeit tickets.

When the victims confronted the suspect, he told them he would refund them their money if they followed him. Moments later he took off on the turnpike and left the scene.

Police are now attempting to locate the suspect. Those who have been a victim of this crime can make a report at www.tulsapolice.org.
