TEXARKANA (AP) - Arkansas High School stadium in Texarkana will serve as the host for a new Division II bowl game in December.
Officials say the school will host the inaugural Live United Bowl. The new bowl game will feature a team from the Great American Conference and an opponent selected from either the Mid-America Intercollegiate Athletic Association or the Lone Star Conference.
The Texarkana Gazette reports that the Live United Bowl will become the third Division II bowl game. The other two are the Mineral Water Bowl in Excelsior Springs, Mo., and the Heart of Texas Bowl in Copperas Cove, Texas.
Arkansas High's Razorback Stadium seats between 8,000 and 10,000 spectators.
