Wagoner County Authorities Looking into Possible Arson Incidents

Wagoner County authorities are investigating two fires at a home this week believed to have been started by an arsonist.

Wagoner County Sheriff's Office said that it happened on Sept. 20 at a home west of Wagoner in the area of Highway 51 and 230 Road. It's there that a resident was a reported victim of arson.

According to the release from WCSO, the suspect(s) used a container with flammable fluid and an ignition source in two separate areas on the outside of the residence to start the fire.

Investigators obtained physical evidence at the scene which as been sent to an Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation lab.

"Witnesses in the area describe a dark colored, possibly dark green SUV leaving the area at a high rate of speed during the time of the fire," the release went on to state.

Currently there is a $2,500 reward for information leading to the arrest of the individuals responsible for this arson.
