Baxter County woman arrested on multiple felony drug charges

HENDERSON (KATV) - A woman who called Baxter County Sheriff's Office saying she had been drugged ends up behind bars. 

Lisa Darlene Pederson, 38, of Cotter faces numerous felony drug charges after calling police to an apartment in Henderson and then running off into some woods when they arrived. Deputies say after a brief chase Pederson was caught and taken into custody. 

Sgt. Brian Davis says, "Pederson had a backpack in her possession.  Several syringes and other items of paraphernalia were observed inside the backpack.  Pederson also reached into her pants and dropped a glass pipe on the ground that contained suspected methamphetamine…Upon being searched by the Jail Matron, Pederson was found to be in possession of an additional syringe and a plastic bag that contained numerous pills.  These pills were later identified as morphine (3 pills), carisoprodol (11 pills), oxycodone (3 pills), oxycontin (2 pills), diazepam (5 pills), alprazolam (15 pills), and five packages of suboxone strips.  In addition, a crystal rock substance with an aggregate weight of .1 grams was found and tested positive for methamphetamine.  She also had a small amount of marijuana."

Pederson was also found to have an outstanding felony warrant of arrest from Marion County.  She was released after posting $10,000 bond on the Baxter County charges and $5,000 bond on the Marion County warrant.  She will appear in Baxter County Circuit Court on October 24th.
