Arkansan killed in motorcycle accident in Oklahoma

Posted: Updated:

TULSA, Okla. (AP) - An Arkansas man was killed and a woman injured when the motorcycle they were riding collided with a tractor-trailer rig in northeastern Oklahoma.

The Oklahoma Highway Patrol says 19-year-old Jeremy Lawson of Alexander, Ark., died and 21-year-old Lauren Nieto of Russellville, Ark., was critically injured in the crash shortly before 10:30 a.m. Wednesday.

Troopers say Lawson was eastbound on U.S. 412 east of Tulsa in Rogers County when the driver of the rig apparently failed to see the motorcycle and pulled into its path.
