Federal Refinancing Deal Extended

Posted: Updated:
While the mortgage crisis is fading, a lot of people are still having trouble making that monthly payment.
Fortunately, if you have a federal mortgage with Fannie Mae or Freddie Mac there's help available.
A great refinance offer is being extended.
Real Estate Expert Mike Aubrey says it can be a huge help, to those who got burned by the real estate bust.
"People thought that housing values were just going to keep going up, up, up, up and then obviously the market corrected."
Aubrey says too many people, ended up owing more on their homes than they are worth.
You can refinance with the Home Affordable Refinance Program through December 31st of 2015 without an appraisal.
So you should reapply even if you've been denied in the past.
Aubrey says you can even owe twice what your house is worth and refinance without an appraisal.
He suggests going to the official HARP web site for all the information you need.
You can also refinance without using you current lender.
So he suggests that shop the market place for the best rates.
Aubrey says the current low rates won't last for long, so this is a great time to fix any mortgage problems.
