Mother Poses as Daughter while Suspect Sends Lewd Messages

Posted: Updated:

A 46-year-old man was taken into custody over the weekend for sending graphic messages to who he thought was an 11-year-old girl.

Tulsa Police arrested Rafael Reyes and booked him on one count each of lewd proposal to a minor and lewd molestation of a minor. He was taken into custody on Friday in east Tulsa.

According to his booking report, Reyes had been messaging who he thought was the young girl from Sept. 11 to Sept. 19. It was later revealed that her mom was actually doing the messaging.

Reyes reportedly made lewd proposals to the young girl through Facebook. Additionally, he asked the girl for photos and if she would have sex with him.

Officers stated that Reyes used to live at the girl's residence and has known the family for years. She disclosed to her mother that he molested her and drank her urine when she was four-years-old.

He also came to the girl's residence on two separate occasions last week to see her but the family would not allow it, according to the booking report.

Reyes was booked on a total $70,000 bond for both complaints.
