Police Make Arrest in Christmas Eve Fatal Shooting

Police arrested a man Thursday afternoon wanted in connection with a murder that took place last Christmas eve.

Tulsa Police arrested Shelvon Williams near the 300 block of E. Virgin St. He was booked on a first degree murder complaint and other outstanding felony and misdemeanor warrants.

According to the release, TPD assisted the Organized Gang Unit in their pursuit of Williams. He was located in the backyard of the residence on Virgin Street.

Officials state that Shelvon shot and killed Shawn Banks at the Town Square Apartments last Christmas Eve. Banks was found dead in the breezeway.
