Left-behind phone leads to Ark. burglary suspect

FORT SMITH, Ark. (AP) - Fort Smith police investigating the burglary of a business had no trouble developing a suspect after they found a mobile phone that was left behind at the company.

Police said Thursday that the phone was plugged into a charge at the business, where computer equipment, a safe and a pickup truck were stolen early Wednesday.

Investigators looked at the Facebook profile on the phone and it was for 44-year-old Michael Lee Lonewolf. Text messages and pictures led them to a campground where Barling officers found Lonewolf and arrested him. They also found the stolen items.

Lonewolf is charged with commercial burglary, theft and failure to appear. He is being held at the Sebastian County Jail, where his bond is $12,000.
