ARKADELPHIA (AP) - Henderson State's Al Lasker and Kevin Rodgers have earned Great American Conference Player of the Week honors.
Lasker earned the special team player of the week honor after a 75-yard punt return for a touchdown in a 75-14 win over McKendree on Saturday. The sophomore averaged 19.5 yards per punt return and had 4 receptions for 43 yards.
Rodgers earned offensive player of the week for the eighth time in his 20-game career. He completed 31 of 45 passes for 380 yards and five touchdowns. Rodgers increased his season total for touchdowns to 11, which leads NCAA Division II. Rogers also leads the nation in passing yards (848) and points responsible for (66).
Henderson State travels to Durant, Okla., this week to face Southeastern Oklahoma.
