UPDATE: Crews contain fire in Ashley County

ASHLEY COUNTY (KATV) - Firefighters have contained a large wildfire in southeast Arkansas. 

According to the Arkansas Forestry Commission, the fire started Saturday afternoon and crews continued to fight it until around 3 AM before returning again Sunday morning.

Firefighters said the blaze burned around 600 acres southwest of Fountain Hill.

Officials estimate around 10 structures had been threatened by the fire, including several homes, deer camps and one church building.

No structures have reportedly sustained any damage.
