Benton man accused of raping underage girl

BENTON (KATV) - A Benton man was arrested Wednesday for allegedly raping an underage girl.

Police were first told of the alleged incident Tuesday evening. After investigating, they arrested 25-year-old Michael Olvera Wednesday on a charge of rape. Olvera knew the alleged victim before the incident.

The investigation is still underway and more charges could be filed.
