FAYETTEVILLE (AP) - The University of Arkansas has taken a 1-0 win over the University of Tulsa women's soccer team.
Wednesday night's loss dropped TU to 3-1 on the season, while UA moved to 5-0 overall.
The Golden Hurricane and Razorbacks battled for the first 65 minutes, but neither team found the back of the net until Alexandra Fischer put UA on the board and scored the game-winner at the 65:37 mark.
Arkansas took a 15-4 lead in shots and a 6-2 advantage in corner kicks.
TU's Roman Edwards, Kajal Parmar, Lauren King and Alexa Sidorakis all had one shot in the contest, while Hayley Harryman logged all 90 minutes between the posts for six saves.
Tulsa will return to action on Friday, Sept. 6th against cross-town rival Oral Roberts University.
