CLARKSVILLE (AP) - The University of Ozarks women's soccer team has defeated in-state rival Hendrix College 2-1.
The Warriors (1-2) lost Tuesday's match despite outshooting the Lady Eagles (2-0) 16-5 and 14-3 on goal.
The game was scoreless until the 36th minute when Ozarks midfielder Victoria Romero scored on a pass from Monica Seiler. Hendrix tied the game less than three minutes later when sophomore forward Sydney King ripped a shot through UO keeper Mary Eoff's fingers.
The match remained 1-1 until the 82nd minute when Frances Adams knocked in Brooke Talmer's shot off a corner kick to give the Lady Eagles the victory.
Eoff recorded 13 saves in goal for the Lady Eagles. Sophomore keeper Rachel Zweig had one save for the Warriors.
