FAYETTEVILLE (AP) - Bret Bielema isn't about to start looking ahead, despite Arkansas' season-opening win over Louisiana-Lafayette.
The Razorbacks (1-0) put together a convincing 34-14 win over the Ragin' Cajuns on Saturday, a much-needed boost of confidence for a team that went 4-8 last season and was picked to finish last in the Southeastern Conference West Division this year.
It was a physical performance and exactly what Bielema wanted to see in his first game since leaving Wisconsin last December.
Despite the early success, Bielema is mindful that the Razorbacks are a "work in progress" and have a difficult start to the SEC looming.
Arkansas hosts Samford (1-0) in Little Rock's War Memorial Stadium this week.
