LITTLE ROCK (AP) - Bentonville will open the 2013 Arkansas high school football season atop the Associated Press poll after finishing second in the state last year.
Fayetteville defeated the Tigers in last year's Class 7A championship game at Little Rock. This year, Fayetteville will begin the year ranked third.
North Little Rock is second in the first poll of the new season
Springdale Har-Ber is fourth in the opening poll, and defending Class 6A champion Greenwood is fifth.
Fort Smith Southside follows, then Class 6A runner up Pine Bluff, Class 5A champion Camden Fairview, Conway and Cabot.
Defending champions Greenwood in 6A, Camden Fairview in 5A, Harding Academy in Class 3A and Junction City in Class 2A top those polls.
Warren is No. 1 in Class 4A.
